Our House
The Rio Grande Valley’s Ronald McDonald House is the cornerstone program for the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Rio Grande Valley. Located adjacent to Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, the House provides a home away from home for families whose seriously-ill children require care in area hospitals.Our Ronald McDonald House features six comfortable, private bedrooms as well as spacious living, dining, kitchen, play and laundry areas.
Families who stay at the House are cared for by staff and trained volunteers who understand families’ hardships and fears. Our families also find that great support comes from those who understand most deeply – their fellow House families.
A modest $10 nightly donation is requested, but no one is turned away from the Ronald McDonald House due to an inability to pay. Community donations make up the difference.
