Need to Stay?
Welcome! Families of patients 18 years and younger receiving medical treatment in any Valley hospital are eligible for lodging at our Ronald McDonald House. Your hospital social work department should have referral forms to assist you, or you can call us directly at (956) 412-7200.Family Registrations are accepted from 8 am - 8 pm seven days a week. In an urgent medical emergency, we will try to accommodate you after hours.
Fee: We request a $10 per night contribution. Other financial arrangements are possible dependent on household income. Please remember that no family is ever turned away due to an inability to pay our fee. Medicaid pays for some families who meet certain eligibility criteria. We will work with you.
Our House can accommodate up to six families at one time, with each family eligible to include as many as four immediate family members. Each private room has its own bathroom. Families share living areas, kitchen, dining room, play room and laundry facilities.
Children are welcome! Please remember that children staying at the House must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No child care is available. Area schools will work with you to ensure that your school-age children continue their education while you are staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
We provide linens, some food staples and toiletries when available, and a caring staff of paid and volunteer workers ready to help you. You will need your own clothing and you are encouraged to bring your own food.
