Ronald McDonald House Charities® through its cornerstone program, the Ronald McDonald House in Harlingen, Texas, provides a home-away-from-home for families whose seriously-ill children are receiving medical care at local hospitals and clinics. Since our doors opened in 1998, more than 800 families have called the Rio Grande Valley’s Ronald McDonald House home.

Pull Tab Campaign 2008-2009

Dear friends, the Pull Tab Campaign tabulations are in! We would like to thank everyone who participated for showing their support and for helping us make the Pull Tab Campaign a success. With everyone’s help, we were able to raise 6,405 pounds of pull tabs! We thank all of you for all the hard work and commitment invested towards this campaign. Your certificates of participation are on their way. This year’s winner is Donna’s A.M. Ochoa Elementary, raising 1,328 pounds! More..

Bissell Donates Cleaning Supplies

Bissell annually donates cleaning products, and various cleaning supplies to more than 160 Houses in five countries. The company formed a partnership with RMHC in 1998. Bissell donates a Bissell vacuum cleaner and maintenance kit to each Ronald McDonald House in the United States and Canada. Bissell also donates T-shirts to thousands of volunteers who roll up their sleeves in the annual Healthy House Clean Up event. Thanks to Bissell, the Ronald McDonald House of the Rio Grande Valley was able to hold its Spring Clean-Up. This was possible thanks to the support of our volunteers from Edna Tamayo Texas Youth Commission, Fishers of Men church group, Ronald McDonald House Staff, Amanda Lopez, Evangelina Lopez, Marie Lopez, Aly and Cruz Cantu. Special thanks to McDonald’s and Domino’s Pizza who were so generous with their donation of breakfast and lunch for our volunteers and staff!
